Lynn Lukins PT, PCS

Lynn Lukins is a board certified Pediatric Specialist in physical Therapy. She graduated from the University of Illinois, Chicago campus in 1980 and has been an outstanding physical therapist ever since. After beginning her career in adult neuro rehab and orthopedics, she moved to treating pediatrics exclusively in 1990 and has never looked back! She has found a love and passion for treating the WHOLE person and the WHOLE family within the pediatric setting. 

 

Lynn was instrumental in helping to develop the physical therapist intervention role within the NICU at University of Louisville hospital, advocating for a full team approach to management and treatment of the baby's care! She is specialty trained in NeuroDevelopmental Treatment (NDT), Myofascial release (MFR), and has special training in  Feldenkrais, yoga and sensory processing.  She has a unique and incredibly effective approach to assessment, handling techniques, and treatment intervention.

 

Lynn is also certified in the General Movements Assessment (GMA), a tool used as a key in early identification of and effectively treating early neurologic issues and she has most recently become certified in implementing the Test of Infant Motor Performance (TIMP), a test to assess the functional motor performance of babies from 34 weeks gestation to 4 months of age. 

She is a wife and a mother of 4 wonderful kids and grandmother to one wonderful grandson. In her free time she enjoys walking her dogs, being outside, and yoga.
